The Bristol Law Centre will be represented at London Marathon 2019!

Mike’s Story

I work at Bristol Law Centre, an incredible charity offering free specialist legal advice and representation to people who otherwise could not afford it. We keep people in their homes, prevent poverty, fight inequality, protect human rights and challenge discrimination; helping over 3000 people a year access justice…..”I am so grateful to you for helping me take back some control of my life”

The Law Centre relies on support from funders and individuals to continue its work. My target of £800 will make a significant difference to our work at a time of increasing demand and funding pressures, please donate whatever you can.

More about me!: I am a keen runner but have found marathon distance events a grinding challenge like no other, and had previously promised myself that I wouldn’t attempt this again. I am egged on by my enthusiastic colleagues (enthusiastic both about my running, and the fact they aren’t) whom I am honoured to represent as a team of highly dedicated, caring staff and volunteers who are deeply committed to improving the lives of others.

Training update: Weekend 23rd/24th February- intending to run a 20km maintenance run in Mile End, my lovely partner Eleri joining me for the last two thirds; a rather significant miscalculation based on lack of running watch, actually took me well over half marathon distance. My legs are not amused.
