Volunteer – pro bono

Avon and Bristol Law Centre has an outstanding reputation for pro bono work and has offered pro bono client services for over 30 years. Many of our lawyer volunteers stay with us for 20+ years – showing how committed they are to helping our clients. Recently one volunteer won Bristol’s Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year 2018 (read more here).

We always need more lawyer support to reach more people, please contact us if you are practising in family or employment law

We currently run two main services: Bristol Law Clinic and Virtual Law Clinic – visit our family law and employment pages for more information about these services. Our services are delivered largely by family and employment law volunteer lawyers – specialists with 2 years PQE (or equivalent) being a solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive.

Although we provide support for litigants in person (particularly in family cases) and anyone who falls in the gap for current provision; we are building up momentum and contacts to offer new areas of law such as civil litigation/small claims, public law, immigration and housing – if you have an interest in any of these areas do get in touch.
