What kind of issues does the Employment team deal with?
Our employment team deals with the following kinds of issues:
Settlement agreement advice for employees:
Sometimes employees and employers agree to terminate the employment contract by drawing up a settlement agreement. Such an agreement is only legal if the employee has received independent legal advice which the employer usually pays for.
Our experienced employment solicitors can advise employees on settlement agreements and liaise on their behalf with their employers.
Our prices are very competitive and are payable by the employer. We can see employees at short notice.
By using our services you will also contribute to the valuable work we do in the community.
To find out more or to make an appointment please contact Will Stone (Solicitor) tel. 0117 916 7725 or email email@example.com
What kind of help and advice can I get?
We can advise and assist with issues arising at work for Bristol City Council residents only - unless you have Legal Expenses Insurance (please see below) in which case there are no geographical limits.
We offer advice on our telephone helpline service 0117 9167727 every Tuesday between 4pm and 6pm.
We can book you an appointment with one of our volunteer solicitors from local law firms at our employment law sessions on a Tuesday evening.
Legal Expenses Insurance
Unfairly dismissed? Suffered Discrimination? Owed wages? Legal advice can be costly. We can help fund your claim against your employer.

Employment Tribunal Fees - update
Following the ruling of the Supreme Court in July 2017, the online claim service has been closed.
Currently, the only way to make a claim is with a hard copy claim form which can be posted to the relevant Employment Tribunal Central Office.
Copies of the claim form are available from our reception. Claimants who are close to their time limit should allow additional time. New Employment Tribunal claims should pay no fee with the ET1 form.
