Employment

We may be able to offer free one-off legal advice for employees and workers with issues at work

To help us assess how we can help:

  • Please check whether you have Legal Expenses Insurance. If you do, this can help fund legal representation.
  • Check if you are eligible for Legal Aid
  • Are you seeking advice for a settlement agreement?

Issues we can help with include:

  • Unfair dismissal
  • Unpaid wages
  • Maternity rights & family entitlement
  • Discrimination at work (click here for more info)
  • Settlement Agreements

Call us 9:30-4:30, Mon to Fri on 0117 924 8662 (freephone 0330 024 0389) or send an email to mail@bristollawcentre.org.uk

More complex casework and employment tribunals

Our advice is free but if your case is more complex and needs further support, your legal costs may be covered through Legal Expenses Insurance (click here to find out more), a common add-on to home and car insurance plus other financial products.

Settlement agreements

Settlement agreements are drawn up to terminate employment, and require the employee to receive independent legal advice.

We advise employees and liaise with employers. Our prices are very competitive, payable by the employer, and we see employees at short notice.
